I was planning to shoot in Kew Gardens, which seems like the obvious choice but it is simply too far away. I want to create a very dreamy, romantic, whimsy atmosphere. Finding a model was a nightmare, because apparently no one has a shoe size 38. I found a nice model but Kew Gardens is over an hour away from where they live and they are already doing it as a favour without any compensation so I won’t ask them to travel this far. As an alternative I chose St. James Garden, which is also very beautiful. When it comes to styling I’ll see what they have in their wardrobe and probably work with that. I have a good idea for styling using pearls. Even though I would love to have a wet hair look, it is the middle of November and I will not but my model through that, it would be irresponsible. Depending on how long the shooting will take I may ask them if it is possible to wet their her eyes their apartment and take a few pictures I can edit in later.
I don’t think I will take “crazy” pictures, because photography is not my forte. I’d rather try my hand at editing. I would also like to experiment with editing parts of Monets paintings in my final pictures like the bridge. We’ll see how it goes.
I whipped up some mood boards:
